Jake Norwood
Jake Norwood is a percussion instructor for the JCHS Band and the general music teacher at West Jackson Elementary School.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from the University of Georgia, where he studied under Mr. Tim Adams and Mrs. Kimberly Toscano Adams. While at the University of Georgia, he performed with multiple ensembles including the UGA Percussion Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Redcoat Marching Band.
Prior to teaching in Jackson County, Mr. Norwood taught both battery and front ensemble for the Jackson High School Red Regiment from 2021 to 2023. Mr. Norwood joined the Jackson County percussion staff in 2024 and has enjoyed every single second of it.
He currently resides in Athens, GA with his beautiful wife Hailey, daughter Maya, and dog Shadow.
