Chandler Dickerson
Mr. Dickerson began his teaching career at Woodland High School in Stockbridge, GA as the Assistant Director of Bands where he restarted a Jazz Band program and traveled with the Percussion Ensemble to perform at the Georgia Music Educators Association Conference in Athens, Georgia and the Music for All Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival in Indianapolis, IN. While at Woodland High School, the Marching Band consistently earned superior ratings and high honors at contests across the state of Georgia. Students of the Woodland High School Band also performed at the University of Georgia Janfest Honor Band Clinic as well as the Georgia Music Educators Association District 6 Honor Band.
Mr. Dickerson attended the University of Georgia where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. While at the University of Georgia, he studied trumpet with Dr. Brandon Craswell and Mr. Philip Smith. Mr. Dickerson has also served as a trumpet soloist, section leader, and Band Captain of the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Music Education degree through the University of West Georgia online program.
Mr. Dickerson’s professional affiliations include the Georgia Music Educators Association, National Band Association, National Association for Music Education, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
