Dear Jackson County Band Family,

I am excited to introduce myself as your new Director of Bands for Jackson County High School. I am honored to join a program with such a proud tradition of excellence, and I look forward to serving the outstanding students, families, and community that make up this incredible band family.

For the past 10 years, I have dedicated myself to music education and student leadership. I began my teaching career as the Assistant Band Director at Archer High School, and for the past seven years, I have served as the Director of Bands at Dacula High School. Throughout this journey, I’ve had the privilege of working with talented and dedicated students, and I am thrilled to bring that same energy, passion, and commitment to Jackson County.

My own musical journey has been shaped by incredible experiences, including serving as a Drum Major for the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band for two years and performing as a tuba player in various ensembles. I continue to stay active as a musician, performing with the North Georgia Winds, a local community band that frequently appears at the Braselton Civic Center.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy working with student leadership programs across the state of Georgia and frequently serve as an adjudicator for drum major competitions and solo and ensemble events. Supporting student growth, leadership, and musicianship is at the heart of what I do.

As a proud Jackson County resident, I’m excited to give back to the community I call home. My husband and I live here with our two energetic German Shepherds, and we’re thrilled to be even more connected to this wonderful area.

I cannot wait to meet each and every one of you, and I look forward to continuing and growing the strong tradition of excellence that defines the Jackson County Bands. Let’s make music and make memories together.

Sincerely,

Brooke Bong
